We’ve worked on a bunch of different games over the years. Some made it to release. Some didn’t. And some are still in production.
We still love the ones that never made it to release though. They’re like old friends we drifted apart from and don’t really talk to anymore. But it’s still nice to see them for a pint from time to time.

What personal information does Deer Cat collect and why?
The personal information that we may collect about you through the Services broadly falls into the following categories: when you play one of our games or visit our website, we may collect certain information automatically from your device. This information may be considered personal information under applicable data protection laws. Also you may send us personal information voluntarily, for example when you email us for support.
Information that we collect automatically in our Games
We automatically collect certain types of information whenever you interact with our games, or via a 3rd party analytics partner such as Unity. This information is stored in our partner’s servers, and is visible to us in anonymous, aggregated or pseudonymized form which does not focus on you individually.
Specifically, this may include information like your device type, unique device identification numbers, broad geographic location (e.g. country derived from IP address) and technical information such as crash reporting. In addition, we may collect information about your interactions with our Games, such as how long you play for, or whether you’ve encountered any technical glitches.
This type of anonymized data enables us to figure out how players use our Games, so we can make improvements to our Games over time, such as fixing bugs or identifying areas which players find too difficult.
In addition, in some of our free to play games we also partner with mobile advertising networks, such as Mopub. Each of these companies collect some pseudonymized usage data from players, such as whether or not a player finishes watching an ad all the way through, or whether or not a user clicks on an ad.
COPPA / Children’s privacy
Our products respect the privacy of children. We comply with the guidelines set forth in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
In the event that a user identifies himself/herself as a child under the age of 13 through a support request or feedback, we will not collect, store or use and will delete in a secure manner any personal information of such a user.

Personal Data
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal data” means personally identifiable information that specifically identifies you as an individual.
Personal information collected by Deer Cat is information voluntarily provided to us by you when you create your account or change your account information. The information includes your facebook id, name, gender, location and your friends’id on facebook. Deer Cat also stores your game checkins, likes, dislikes, recommendations and messages.
Deer Cat may use collected personal data for purposes of analyzing usage of the Services, providing customer and technical support, managing and providing Services (including managing advertisement serving) and to further develop the Services and other Deer Cat services and products. Deer Cat may combine non-personal data with personal data.
Please note that certain features of the Services may be able to connect to your social networking sites to obtain additional information about you. In such cases, Deer Cat may be able to collect certain information from your social networking profile when your social networking site permits it, and when you consent to allow your social networking site to make that information available to Deer Cat. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, profile picture, gender, user ID, email address, your country, your language, your time zone, the organizations and links on your profile page, the names and profile pictures of your social networking site friends and other information you have included in your social networking site profile. Deer Cat may associate and/or combine as well as use information collected by Deer Cat and/or obtained through such social networking sites in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data
Deer Cat collects and processes personal data on a voluntary basis and it is not in the business of selling your personal data to third parties. Personal data may, however, occasionally be disclosed in accordance with applicable legislation and this Privacy Policy. Additionally, Deer Cat may disclose personal data to its parent companies and its subsidiaries in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Deer Cat may hire agents and contractors to collect and process personal data on Deer Cat’s behalf and in such cases such agents and contractors will be instructed to comply with our Privacy Policy and to use personal data only for the purposes for which the third party has been engaged by Deer Cat. Deer Cat has the right to share your personal data as necessary for the aforementioned third parties to provide their services for Deer Cat. Deer Cat may disclose your personal data to third parties as required by law enforcement or other government officials in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose you or Deer Cat to legal liability. Deer Cat may also disclose your personal data to third parties when Deer Cat has a reason to believe that a disclosure is necessary to address potential or actual injury or interference with Deer Cat’s rights, property, operations, users or others who may be harmed or may suffer loss or damage, or Deer Cat believes that such disclosure is necessary to protect Deer Cat’s rights, combat fraud and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on Deer Cat. Please be aware of the open nature of certain social networking and other open features of the Services Deer Cat may make available to you. You may choose to disclose data about yourself in the course of contributing user generated content to the Services. Any data that you disclose in any of these forums, blogs, chats or the like is public information, and there is no expectation of privacy or confidentiality. Deer Cat is not responsible for any personal data you choose to make public in any of these forums.
If you are under 15 years of age or a minor in your country of residence, please ask your legal guardian’s permission to use or access the Services. Deer Cat takes children’s privacy seriously, and encourages parents and/or guardians to play an active role in their children’s online experience at all times. Deer Cat does not knowingly collect any personal information from children below the aforementioned age and if Deer Cat learns that Deer Cat has inadvertently gathered personal data from children under the aforementioned age, Deer Cat will take reasonable measures to promptly erase such personal data from Deer Cat’s records.

Our games store and process personal data that you have provided to us, in order to provide our Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and it could mean that the Danger Pants app won’t work properly or at all.
You should be aware that there are certain things that Deer Cat Games will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider, but Deer Cat Games cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.
If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.
Along the same lines, Deer Cat Games cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app i.e. You need to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, Deer Cat Games cannot accept responsibility.
With respect to Deer Cat Games’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavour to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Deer Cat Games accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android & iOS – the requirements for both systems (and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Deer Cat Games does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the Android & iOS version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
